PDI Research & Development Lab - Mission Statement
As a 501(c)3, the PDI R&D lab works in partnership with the government, academia, and private industry applying testing and evaluation, research and development, systems engineering and advanced technology investigation to address issues of critical national importance.
The PDI R&D lab is a 10,000
sq. ft. facility located in the All American Military Business Park in
Fayetteville, NC. The Laboratory facility is a significant expansion of
PDI’s existing Wireless Lab and provides the capability to integrate,
test, gather metrics and provide innovative approaches for rapidly
developing and deploying wireless network devices. This supports the
critical needs of PDI’s working partners in the military, private
industry, government, and academia to quickly field cutting edge
communications systems to diverse user communities.Initially, the R&D Lab’s role will be to advance
the transition of commercial equipment, advanced systems, and
technology to support the unique missions of the United States Special
Operations Command (USSOCOM) and its various roles, including the Global
War on Terrorism. In its expanded role, the R&D Lab will provide its working partners a state of the art facility that will permit
the conduct of research, development, test and evaluation.
The PDI programs continue to create jobs and generate revenue for the state of North Carolina.
