Lab Capabilities


•  A 36’ x 36’ x 18” Anechoic Chamber to conduct MIL-STD-461E testing for evaluation of radio frequency communications equipment.  A 24 foot turntable capable of handling a payload of 55,000 lbs is available to facilitate vehicular testing.

•  Environmental testing lab with three chambers designed to test and assess temperature, humidity and altitude impact on equipment to MIL-STD 810.

•  Shock and vibration lab for material lifecycle and workmanship testing.

•  Laboratory areas for equipment integration, evaluation, and testing.

•  100 Megabit Ethernet connection to the North Carolina Research and Engineering Network (NCREN) and peered networks such as the Internet2, National LambdaRail, and the Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN).

•  Evaluation and testing of mobile communications.

•  An indoor high bay for vehicle modification and testing.

•  Secure facility

•  Amenities including office space, conference room, classroom, and break room.

 

The PDI R&D Lab is conveniently located next to Fort Bragg and within minutes of I-95 making it readily accessible to industry, military and government. This central location provides ease of access to the R&D Lab for performing system integration and user testing.
