Defense & Security Technology Accelerator
Our Mission:
PDI’s Defense & Security Technology Accelerator (DSTA), a statewide asset, assists young companies developing their products with the goal of rapidly entering the market place. A company enrolled in the accelerator program receives coaching and training from the staff at PDI and external subject matter experts. Clients have the opportunity to collaborate with and utilize testing, research & development, and product evaluation capabilities with the various universities with which PDI maintains strategic relationships.

Since the NC General Assembly approved the business plan, “Proposal for Job Creation, North Carolina,” PDI has become an epicenter for entrepreneurship and the development of defense technologies. The Defense & Security Technology Accelerator (DSTA) brings together the military, entrepreneurs, universities, innovators and technology companies to generate and share ideas, understand needs and develop technology solutions.
The PDI programs continue to create jobs and generate revenue for the state of North Carolina.
